Today, I am sharing a layout I created inspired by the Viva Las Vegas Stamps August Moodboard challenge. I don’t get a chance to play along with moodboards much these days but a recent retreat saw me get well ahead in my design team work and frees me up for other things. It’s amazing how much you can get done with you don’t have any little people running a muck under your feet.
This is it here:
The words that went along with this visual inspiration were like bold, BRIGHT, intuitive, strong, women, feminine, ARTIST,artsy, splatter, script, polka dots, color blocks, numbers, alphas, pink, teal, lime green, white, black, stencils and more.
So this is what I came up with….
This layout is of me meeting my Art Idol, Fiona Paltridge. I was lucky enough to meet Fiona back in April as I attended one of her workshops. I have met her again since and she is even more awesome every time I see her. All these words from the challenge relate to my layout…Bright, bold, Feminine, Strong, Artist and that is just describing Fiona. Then I used all the other words to create my layout.
My background is created using my Gelli Plate and some paint. There are quite a few layers there before I added my stamping and embellishments.
I only have a small stash of Viva Las Vegas Stamps as I have been a bit slow on discovering them but I managed to use quite a few of them on this layout. Here are a few close ups:
This Banksy winged Mohawk guy is my favourite (Item#19602)
The Banksy Stamps fit this grunge project perfectly and it is totally my style.
Oh and one more of my favourites the Boy in Cape (Item #19036)
This style is definitely me. The grunge and the stamps make me happy.
Here is a list of the stamps I used:
- Holy Shitballs (Item#19275)
- Banksy Rain Under Umbrella (Item#19486)
- Banksy Winged Mohawk Guy (Item#19602)
- Boy in Cape (Item#19036)
- Waterpipe shutoff (Item#19928)
- Delight in the little (Item#19867)
