This is my favourite moodboard of the last six months.
When I put this moodboard together I had an idea for a layout but I had no idea what photo I could use or how I could use it. Then this layout came about. I absolutely love it so much.

When I put this moodboard together I had an idea for a layout but I had no idea what photo I could use or how I could use it. Then this layout came about. I absolutely love it so much.
Today is just a quick share to tell you to head over to the Colour Blast Australia Blog and check out my project today. It is a $5 KMart moneybox transformed into something that looks pretty awesome.
Oh and this is what it started out looking like.
I have some big things happening down the track so I am in the process of getting my layouts sorted and shared rather than having them sit waiting. Waiting for what I have no idea maybe just time to sit down and blog them. I am currently waiting for another process video to save, so why not blog and share these layouts especially as this one is a perfect Rainbow Splendour share. Check out those wood veneer planes. My favourite of all the RS woods.
This is a heavy mixed media background with lots of texture so I kept the veneer raw to make it pop.

This layout was another option to a design team layout I was working on. I created three different layouts and had a friend choose the one she thought best fit the criteria.
This layout started off differently, turned into an art journal page then I started again and the finished product is exactly what I imagined.
Here is my layout:

Two more layouts using the “Fur-ever Friends” collection. These two layout are actually about real life pets. The first one is my mum’s dog Pinto, who to this very day, isn’t convinced my daughter is a person. These photo were taken when she was almost a year old and she is four now. Still, he always has to make sure both front and back, that she isn’t a dog. Yet he leaves the other two kids alone. Weird, Right?

Now on to another dog layout. This one is our beloved Bulldog, Bomber. This photo was taken at one of my husbands regular house parties just before we met and I moved in 5 months later. Bomber was the “Man” of the house. He had his own couch, routine and an attitude. I messed with that when I moved in and his attitude took a long time to adjust.

Thanks for stopping by today.

This is my take on this months Scrap the Girls Challenge. This month is a moodboard called “Seaglass”.
All the sea inspiration meant I just had to use a photo of the sea. I settled on this series of photos of my daughter Poppy taken last October at Kingscliff. The colours of the ocean are a perfect match.
Here is my Layout:
This layout is all about texture. I added colour to start then strips of material, some gyprock tape and then bubble wrap. Yep I used bubble wrap to add some textural “glass rocks” to the layout. I was a bit of work to hand stitch them all on but I think it was well worth it. I really love the way it turned out.

There is a process video up on Popleopod YouTube Channel so head over and check it out.
As soon as I saw this challenge for Kraft+ I knew I had to play along. It seems there are a few people out there that had the same idea though and used photos from last years Scrap and Chat Retreat. I can’t wait for this years. Anyways, here is my take on the Denim Revolution.
The photo is a little bit cheeky – An Angry Cock beer. So I decided to play on this and use the top of a tiny pair of denim shorts with the zip coming down. For my background, I used some printed Kraft paper from a typo bag. The fact that it has all old ads printed on it and there is one at the top about disguises made it perfect for this page.
