Scrap the Boys – Challenge FOOD

This is another layout that may have got lost in the Publishing change over at Scrapbooking Memories Magazine.  It was such a great layout and it is a shame it has been in hiding this long.

I love all these outside of the box challenges that are popping up around the place.  This one in particular was pretty fun.  The challenge was to for Scrap the Boys and the idea was to scrap your boy and FOOD.  This layout was created in November 2015 but it was picked up for publishing so I have had to hold off sharing it.

I decided that I wouldn’t use a standard photo of my son eating ‘Food” but rather I took this opportunity to document the fact that my son likes to eat EVERYTHING.  I love preparing sensory playtime activities for both the kids but I have to be sure that everything is edible because without a doubt he will eat it or at least try it.  This day was no exception.  The activity was slime also known as Cornflower, water and food colouring.  He saw it as soup and went and fished out a play spoon from the cubby and proceeded to eat it.  No amount of discouraging him works.  So its just as well it is not harmful but I don’t think it could have tasted very nice.

For my layout I created a mixed media background using greens.  I chose green because the colour complimented the photo and the embellishments I wanted to use. I had recently acquired some new Charms Creations Green Triangles and they are bright and I would encourage everyone to try and add some to their collection.  Triangles are very in at the moment and add something a bit special to any layout.

Here is my layout…
