Scrapping Clearly Monthly Moodboard/Sketch Challenge

I decided to play along with the Scrapping Clearly Moodboard and sketch challenge again this month only I combined the two into one layout.  I used the sketch and the colours from the moodboard to create a layout that well, is a bit different to my usual style.

Here is the Sketch:

Here is the Moodboard:

But I guess that’s whats is good about describing your style as eclectic.  You can change it up as you please.

Here is my Layout.

I pretty much stuck to the sketch, substituting stars for hearts.  And I drew inspiration from the dusty pinks although this is as dusty as my stash collection would let me be.  I have delved into my stash quite a bit over the past few months and it feels so good to be using papers I have been hoarding for so long.  I am desperately trying not to buy any new papers until I have used up “some” of my stash.

And here are some close ups.

My favourite is the Charms Creations Music Page heart.  I left it as it and added a little bow.  Doesn’t the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard look pretty awesome embossed in Colour Blast Bling Embossing Powder.

I have had this photo printed for a long while but didn’t know how to make it special on its own.  I tend to do all of my daughters newborn layouts in Christmas colours as she was born on Christmas Eve and most of her first day photos she is wearing a Christmas outfit gifted to us by one of my mothers friends.  (I still have that outfit stashed away and pull it out at Christmas time to do a size comparison with my daughter.) This photo was taken after she was just hours old so Christmas hadn’t hit just yet.
